ICanCaRe Tutorial is a Pan India group online program for extended learning conducted by the ICanCaRe Academy to provide deeper insight into tobacco intervention through Case Discussion, Problem-Based Learning, and Group Discussion on selected topics.

The tutorials are aimed to provide real-life learning led by a tutor/mentor through peer group discussion to open minds and get a variety of practical insights and understand the challenges and methods for tobacco intervention for successful quitting for their patients.

The Tutorial brings all intervention specialists on one platform and creates opportunities for networking, comradeship, and friendship to find common interests besides a professional.

All Certified Tobacco Cessation Specialists are invited to join. A few Professionals who have completed OCTC are invited to join a few tutorials.

This is NOT an open-invitation program.

1. The tutorial is conducted on the 15th of every month. The date will be moved to the next day if the 15th is a holiday.
2. The tutorial is conducted in a private Online Zoom Classroom
3. The link to the tutorial classroom is shared in the group on the day of the tutorial between 7:30 -8 PM
4. The tutorial is conducted between 2100 hrs to 2200hrs

All the CTCS participants can submit their cases to the Tutorial Lead/ coordinator before the 10th of every month.

The case can be submitted on a PowerPoint with clarity on the relevant inputs about the case.
The Case can be recorded on the ICanCaRe app. This will be highly appreciated.

The participant who has provided the case will present the case using PowerPoint or the ICanCaRe App for discussion and deliberations.

ICanCaRe Academy encourages peer group learning and all members attending are to provide input. Brainstorming and scientific evidence are preferred. The mentor/ tutor provides guidance and fills in the knowledge gaps for a better practical understanding of case management for a successful quit.

The mentors /experts are from ICanCaRe Academy, the CTCS group. The Tutorial Committee often invites guest speakers to the tutorials

Announcement of the upcoming tutorial is broadcasted in the WhatsApp group of CTCS, ICanCaRe Community page, and Linked In page on the 20th of the previous month.

A reminder is posted on the 27th of the previous month and the 4th of the current month on the WhatsApp group of CTCS, ICanCaRe Community page, and Linked In page with a call to submit cases for the forthcoming tutorial and suggest any topic for discussion.

A reminder is posted on the 12th of the month.

On the 15th of the month, a brief agenda of the tutorial is circulated.

ICanCaRe Academy saves each case in a report format as a Blog for future referral on the ICanCaRe Community Page.

The presenting CTCS is given the responsibility to write the case report and submit it to the Tutorial Committee of ICanCaRe Academy within 48 hours of the tutorial. The committee will edit the write-up if needed.

Following the approval of the Academic Director, the report will be blogged.

Topic discussion pertaining to previous presentations by experts. The experts are from the CTCS group or may be invited, guest speakers. The topic PPT is submitted beforehand to the tutorial leaders. A write-up for the same has to be provided so that it can be blogged for wider awareness.
